The Parrot Bebop 1 was the first of the Bebop range. It has built in stabilised camera that stores images and videos on board , no SD cards . You download the videos directly to your PC or laptop. The quad is controlled by either phone/tablet using free software or by the supplied Skycontroller 1 . Flight time is around 9 to 10 minutes . The quad is very easy to fly and very stable . This quad has now been replaced with the Bebop 2.
The above is the Parrot Skycontroller 1 . A large device that controls the Bebop using a phone or tablet which controls all aspects of the quad ie. take off, camera on/off, etc. A phone or tablet links to this Skycontroller to view what the camera see's but also information like GPS ,time left on battery , distance , speed ,height etc. Available colours are red,blue & yellow. There is now a Skycontroller 2 , a much smaller joypad type device.
The above is the Mavic Pro. A smaller lightweight quad with folding legs for easy carrying.It has a 3 axis gimbal with a 4k camera and a range of 7 km [ 4.3 miles ] . A very advanced quad with intelligent obstacle and collision detection sensors. As well as manual controls, the Mavic Pro comes with some built-in autonomous flight capabilities, enabling it to follow, circle or pan a chosen subject/point of interest. It also responds to gestures for capturing selfies or active tracking your movement for example
