Flying 3D

The Flying 3D came onto the market in 2014. A popular quad but has had it's problems. One of the few quads made at the time with full telemetry . The display on the handset shows : height , angle , satellites, GPS co-ordinates etc. These quads have 4 flying modes and can be quite fast, flight times are low . Modifications can be made to take bigger batteries.

XK Detect X380

A very popular quadcopter .Very well ballanced and makes a perfect platform for video and photography. Serious problems can arise if you dont get the compass calibrations right . It can just take off or fly away in any direction. This quad has a flight time of 25 minutes which is very good and more than most others . This quad has a range of 1000m

Blade 350 QX3

This is a more serious quad with special functions like the SAFE mode. It comes with a 16mp camera and is perfect for video work .A mobile phone is used with this quad linked by wi-fi  . Buttons on the screen  allow snapshots to be taken or video to be started or stopped. Superb, smooth flying with this drone and the horizon is level unlike many other camera's  where the horizon is slightly curved. 

Of all the newer quadcopters coming onto the market : DJI Mavic, GoPro Karma, DJI Spark, to name a few there is one other quad  which is worthy of a mention. The Xiaomi Mi  is a  quad complete with a 3 axis gimbal and a 4k camera . Flight time is around 20 mins ,a range of 4 km [ 2.48 mile] and has foldable legs.
